Ultrafast laser-plasma interactions in air at high laser repetition rates >> 100 kHz
Project Description:
This project focuses on investigating ultrafast laser-plasma interactions in air at high laser repetition rates exceeding 100 kHz. Using high-power ultrafast laser systems, plasma filaments will be generated and characterized in gases. The project combines experimental work with numerical simulations and includes the development of new diagnostic methods for plasma characterization.

High average power few-cycle THz technology and applications
Project Description:
This project aims to develop efficient broadband single-cycle Terahertz sources with high average powers and repetition rates for advanced imaging applications. The focus lies on developing nonlinear conversion setups based on optical rectification suitable for high average powers, as well as the realization of imaging concepts and implementation of advanced THz detection concepts.
